sense of direction
[female voice]
Severed from you my theatrical darling
I have a good sense of direction I think
to and from here and there
to a direction here comes
from a time there goes.
[male voice]
She got up in the morning in the east blinking
had to get to work while it was still dark
transporting inclining
don't ask her too much
no insinuation only an instant.
[female voice]
By the time lunch came around sun in the south
the whole island every species radiant
French shutters galloping
Indian hill a secret
peeking in tossed aside.
[male voice]
Racing west making a dash as the sun went down
blistered the strangers wanted so much more
more horizon more nursing
more contrast between too long
and cut like warm bread.
[female voice]
Middle of the night north as an empty church
indigo continuum you have to stop to breathe
there somewhere a tarred star
trampled to the eye
don't deny me my ever.
[male voice]
Severed from you my theatrical darling
I have a good sense of direction I think
to and from here and there
to a direction here comes
from a time there goes.
